First Aid - Toddlers

First Aid for toddlers looks more closely as small people as they begin to walk and move around. It shifts focus from the basic cares to the bumps, scrapes and accidents that are going to happen as they learn to move around. It covers areas such as:

Minor & major trauma (Falls, cuts, head strikes, etc)

Drowning & hypothermia

Insect bites and stings
-
Choking & poisoning
-
Any other aspects of child health you wish to discuss!

First Aid - Children

Looking broadly at ages 5-12, children's first aid is focused more around any identified health issues that parents may benefit from discussing. It is more freeform and open but will refresh things such as:

Trauma (falls, vehicle incidents, cuts, fractures and similar)

Burns

Drowning
-
Choking
-
Asthma
-
Allergic reactions & anaphylaxis

Anything else you may wish to include

First Aid - Pregnancy
When pregannt, there are significant changes to the body and a lot of these can cause stress and anxiety. We will look more closely at some common pregnancy issues and things to watch for, including:
- Iron deficiencies

Trauma & bleeding

Pain, cramps & labor

Pre-eclampsia

Accredited First Aid
Accredited first aid courses (HLTAID009 and HLTAID011) are coming soon.
